To provide a seamless and secure marketplace experience across our Buyer, Vendor, and Rider ecosystems, we collect the following necessary information:

• Account Information: Upon registration via secure authentication, we collect basic profile details, including your name, email address, selected role, and profile imagery.
• Contact & Location Data: We collect phone numbers (primarily for WhatsApp integration) and hostel/delivery locations to facilitate swift communication and accurate order fulfillment.
• Listing & Inventory Data: Information our Vendors choose to upload, including product specifications, multimedia assets, and pricing structures.

2. How We Use Your Information

The data we collect is utilized strictly for the following operational purposes:

• To securely create, authenticate, and manage your UniMallGh account.
• To enable seamless, direct communication and logistics tracking between Buyers, Vendors, and delivery Riders.
• To monitor platform integrity, enforce our community guidelines, and maintain a secure campus trading environment.

3. Third-Party Services & Infrastructure

UniMallGh leverages industry-leading, secure third-party infrastructure to protect your data:

• Authentication & Storage: We utilize Supabase for enterprise-grade database management and encrypted user authentication.
• Communication: Transaction negotiations and direct messaging primarily occur off-platform via WhatsApp. UniMallGh does not intercept, read, or store your private WhatsApp correspondence.

4. Data Sharing and Disclosure

We absolutely do not sell your personal information to third-party data brokers. Information is only shared publicly on the platform when explicitly authorized by you, such as a Vendor displaying a public storefront contact number or inventory listings.

5. Data Deletion and Your Rights

You retain total control over your digital footprint. Should you wish to permanently delete your UniMallGh account and erase your personal data from our encrypted database, you may submit an account deletion request through the app settings or via our support team. Upon verification, all personal identifiers linked to your account will be permanently expunged.

As our university ecosystem expands, we may update this Privacy Policy to ensure ongoing compliance with app store regulations and regional data protection laws. Material changes will be indicated by a revised "Effective Date" at the top of this document.
